NOTE:  After a long search for the song, Dan Hughes in Houston, Texas; son of Major John W. Hughes, Jr., Commander, 33d Armor Tank Battalion, Combat Command B, 3d Armored Division 1955-1958-(now deceased), provided us with a box of papers and photos which belonged to his father and there was a memorandum dated 21 November 1956 from Major Hughes to LTC Sedbury, Assistant Chief of Staff, G1, 3d Armored Division, confirming a telephone call between the two that day regarding the 33d Tank Battalion Song and the lyrics were typed out on the memorandum.  Many thanks to Dan and his mother, Mrs. John W.
