Redesignated 8 May 1941 as 2d Battalion, 32d Armored
Regiment Inactivated 10 November 1945 in Germany
Elements, together with elements of 3d Battalion, 33d
Armored Regiment consolidated and redesignated as the
7th Tank Battalion, 15 July 1947 Assigned to the 3d
Armored Division and activated at Fort Knox, Kentucky,
15 July 1947 Redesignated 30 July 1948 as the 7th Medium
Tank Battalion Redesignated 15 March 1955 as the 7th
Tank Battalion Relieved from the 3d Armored Division and
inactivated in Germany 1 October 1957 Consolidated 1
December 1957 with the 32d Armor, a parent regiment
under the Combat Arms Regimental System.
